The lesson program is tailored to you - you determine what we are going to focus on and what is important to you. Our instructors will propose the best exercises, drills and terrain to ride, so you will get the most out of your lessons. Let's start your snowboarding progress with NOASC! Choose from 4 or 6 hour lessons. NOTE: Only private or semi-private lessons are available for children.

6 hour Private Snowboard Lesson

A full day of snowboarding instruction with your instructor. Learn the necessary technique needed to conquer the mountain with some help of our powder instructors and get the most out of your Niseko snowboard holiday. Our instructors take/show you the best places in the resort to suit your level/ability. Even if this is your first time snowboarding , we will give you the confidence so you can enjoy what Hokkaido is famous for - great snow!

4 hour Private Snowboard Lesson

Learn the necessary technique needed to conquer the mountains with some help of our powder instructors and get the most out of your Niseko snowboard holiday. Our instructors take/show you the best places in the resorts to suit your level/ability. Even if this is your first time snowboarding , we will give you the confidence so you can enjoy what Hokkaido is famous for - great snow! 4 hours (any breaks included) with a normal 9am start in the morning finishing at lunch time. For guests requiring a VIP pick-up and drop-off service please call us at 0136-23-1688 to book your valet service.
Let NOASC's qualified and experienced multi-lingual instructors/guides pass on their knowledge of snowboarding, while showing you the thrills and excitement of riding Hokkaido's world renowned powder. Lesson price includes a V.I.P. pick-up and drop-off service from your accommodation. Lift tickets are not including in the price of the lesson.
(Note: NOASC teaches lessons at resorts other than Niseko United Resorts. Contact NOASC for further information and to discuss your lesson resort of choice. Traveling times one-way vary with road conditions, please allow up to approximately 90 minutes for Sapporo regional resorts).

Backcountry Tourer Lesson Level-10
At level ten you are a very competent snowboarder in all conditions; with a backpack; in heavy snow through to deep powder, on all terrain. Level ten snowboarders are able to select the safest backcountry route, analyze present and future snow conditions through snow stability tests, weather forecasts. These snowboarders can plan and travel through the backcountry in all snow conditions, using varying navigation techniques, on overnight, and/or multi-day tours.

Backcountry Explorer Lesson Level-9
Level nine snowboarders are very competent advanced snowboarders who board all mountain, all terrain, all conditions, venturing out into the backcountry (non-patrolled/no snow control) areas. Level nine snowboarders are learning about snowboarding techniques in the backcountry, basic backcountry safe travel, on full-day tours, regularly.

Mountain Explorer Lesson - Level 8

Level eight snowboarders are confident advanced snowboarders who carve/dynamic turn, on all terrain and in all snow conditions. Level eight snowboarders can snowboard with carving turns on black runs. Level eight snowboarders regularly board off-piste in varying terrain, including open and closed tree runs, in shallow ankle through to waist deep powder, within and outside ski resort boundaries. Learning about backcountry snowboarding and snowboarding outside the resort's boundaries on half-day tours.

Advanced Snowboard Lesson - Level 7

Level Seven snowboarders are confident advance snowboarders who carve turns of varying radius' on intermediate and are refining this technique on black runs. These snowboarders experiment with dynamic turning (free riding lines per the terrain) on and off-piste. Confident enough to snowboard open trees, or shallow powder runs off-piste. Confident short radius turns and carving turns on all red runs on-piste. Maybe venturing into bump runs on occasions.

Intermediate Advance Snowboard Lesson Level-6
Level six snowboarders are confident intermediate snowboarders who can link turns on all red runs. They are able to perform basic carve turns on intermediate runs. These snowboarders board relatively fast and venture of into the powder regularly on the edge of the runs. Confident enough to snowboard among open trees, or natural powder runs off-piste.

Intermediate Snowboard Lesson Level-5
Level Five snowboarders are confident intermediate snowboarders who are able use dynamic linked turns, and stop confidently on intermediate red runs. These snowboarders board relatively fast, but may have difficulty, loosing their edges, on steeper, icy, or bumpy intermediate runs. May still slide turn to imitate turns on piste. Enjoying riding off-piste on red runs.

Beginner Intermediate Snowboard Lesson Level-4
Level Four snowboarders are cautious intermediate snowboarders who are able to link turns, and stop with dynamic stops, confidently. These snowboarders can link turns smoothly keeping constant radius on beginner (green) to intermediate (red/blue) runs with better use of their edges, at moderate speed. Riding occasionally off-piste.

Advanced Beginner Snowboard Lesson Level-3
Level Three snowboarders are novices who are able link turns both ways and stop confidently. These snowboarders can link turns smoothly keeping constant radius on beginner (green) to intermediate (red (Blue as referred to in North America, Aus., N.Z.)) ski runs. Level Three snowboarders may have snowboarded for several days and have no problem getting on or off lifts.

Intermediate Beginner Snowboard Lesson Level-2
Level Two snowboarders are cautious novices who are able to slide turn both ways and can stop on gentle beginner slopes. These snowboarders can link turns but not smoothly. Level two snowboarders will be traversing with stops and then changing direction, or pendulum/side slipping steeper areas, on other green runs.

This lesson is a basic introduction to you snowboard equipment, moving around on your snowboard and how to stop. Level One snowboarders have only snowboarded once before, and/or who haven't snowboarded for several years.
