Today's tour was difficult because of the variable weather conditions, and heavy powder snow. Even so, our guests from Idaho USA were all smiles at the end of the day.

Low cloud and wet snow made our route planning more important than normal. After a hike up it was the start to unexpected good turns for the rest of the day. The trees of Nitonupuri proved to be the best place to ski on the day.

It seems it hasn't been snowing much on the west coast USA this season.

Another great reason to come to Niseko. We always have snow...lots of it.

With just a dusting of new snow over the last couple of days in the village, skiing conditions have meant groomers are the place to be. That wasn't the case in the Niseko Backcountry, further up in elevation and within the untouched trees of Mt Yotei.
